August 21, 2009, Newsletter Issue #48: Massage Therapy As A Second Career

Tip of the Week

Massage therapy is a job field often entered as a second career. Working just 10 to 15 hours a week could earn you between $20,000 and $30,000 a year, depending on rates and other costs. The limited time requirements mean that you can maintain another primary career and still add a substantial amount to your yearly income through massage therapy.

So if you love your current career, but you do not make as much money as you would like or you have some extra time on your hands, becoming a massage therapist could be the perfect option. There are so many professions that are personally rewarding, but are seriously lacking in the financial rewards department. You should not have to give those up so you can make a decent living, and through certified massage specialist schools, you won’t have to.

Try using some of your free time to make extra cash, experience a new field and help people stay healthier and stress-free all at the same time. There are benefits for you, your family, your potential clients and more.
